Empire Ambulance Service is the sole provider of 9-1-1 emergency medical response for the city of Cohoes New York. In addition, we provide back up response for multiple agencies in Warren, Washington, Saratoga, Albany and Renselear Counties.
Our team provides acute medical transports between hospitals, trauma centers and special care units for patients who require advanced monitoring. A New York State certified Paramedic and a certified Emergency Medical Technician, staff our Advanced Life Support Ambulances.Paramedics work closely with the patient's physician and nursing staff to plan the appropriate treatment modalities during the transport. We provide patients with cardiac monitoring, IV therapy and advanced airway management.

Advanced Life Support (ALS) Transport
The Specialty Care Transport Team is comprised of highly skilled Paramedics with the credentials and experience to providie medication facillitated intubation (MFI), Ventilator management with the LTV1200, adavanced knoweledge in pharmacology drug and IV therapy with or without the use of agency owned pumps. Our agency is the only NYS Certified program with the ability to transport blood products in North Eastern New York.

Wheelchair Van Transportation
Our Wheelchair Van Services are operated by team members who have special training to assist mobility-challenged individuals. We take every care and measure to ensure they safely board the vehicle and are safely transported.
